The Printing House Shoreline Cleanup 2017

On Friday, July 21st, 2017 our Head Office team headed to Coronation Park to host our second annual Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup! While sustainable printing is one of the key ways we give back to our planet, we also like to spend time getting hands-on with the great outdoors.

The Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup is a national program led by TPH partner WWF-Canada, as well as the Vancouver Aquarium. Participants have the opportunity to make a difference in the local community by either coordinating a cleanup of their own, or joining one in areas across the country. So far in 2017, over 785 cleanups have been organized, resulting in 22,338 kg of litter collected across 1,553 km of Canadian shoreline!

We had an amazing time enjoying the sunshine while cleaning up the park:

The most unusual items we found were a soother, dry shampoo, earplugs, and a single playing card – the 8 of hearts! To see more photos of our cleanup, visit our Facebook page
