FSC Friday: How you can help our forests!

FSC Friday

Today is FSC Friday! A day for FSC offices, certificate holders, members, and partners to celebrate and raise awareness about responsible forest management. TPH is proud to offer a wide variety of environmentally friendly paper options, including FSC certified stock. As of September 2016, approximately 91% of the paper used by TPH this year was FSC certified.

What is FSC?

Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) is an international certification and labelling system dedicated to promoting responsible forest management of the world’s forests. For over 20 years, FSC has worked to take care of forests and the people, plant, and animal species that depend on them.

What is the importance of FSC certification?

FSC certification proves the origins of the paper being used. The FSC label gives assurance that wood, paper, and other forest products have been responsibly sourced from well-managed forests and/or recycled materials. This enables consumers to make informed choices about the forest products they buy.

By selecting papers that are FSC certified, you are making responsible purchasing decisions and can help protect the world’s forests. Together, customers and printers can work together to source paper that helps stop harmful forest degradation.

How can you get involved?

We’re proud to offer our customers FSC certified stock and are happy to have the FSC logo printed on your collateral. This logo will let your customers know that you’re using paper from responsible sources and can help communicate your environmental and social credibility. It’s great business to show you care!

TPH is committed to environmental responsibility and seeks to be a leader in the area of sustainability, across four areas of focus: paper, planet, people and partnerships. You can read more about our environmental initiatives in our 2016 Sustainability Report.
