On August 1 and 2, Maker Festival took over the Toronto Reference Library and there were two floors worth of makery goodness to explore. A maker is someone who uses their spare time to create things and you may know them as hobbyists – and there was a variety of makers on hand for Makerfest! There was definitely something for everyone. We loved the range of makers that were there: 3D printing, cupcake decorating, robotics, gaming, paper crafts, and so much more (including a functional R2-D2). It’s a great opportunity to get in there and do some hands-on making while getting to talk to a bunch of people who are passionate about their craft.
