How to have the most successful trade show booth


With the auto show and the golf show coming up in Toronto, we’re sure there are loads of other trade shows coming up on your radar. If you’re setting up an exhibit at a trade show then follow these tips to make sure you make the most of the experience.
People are everything.
Depending on what your goals are, plan on bringing the appropriate people to help you achieve them. If you want to generate leads, bring your most sociable people. If your goal is to generate sales, bring your top salespeople. Having the right personalities there will help to draw people to your booth and have great conversations.
Have a clear focus.
Make it clear what you’re about and try not to sell too much at once. Make sure things are clearly labelled so people can easily get your message. Create displays that make sense and relate to each other instead of just throwing a bunch of things together.

Plan your booth ahead of time.
Get your trade show booth printed with some time to spare so you can practice putting it together ahead of time. That way you won’t be scrambling to figure out how it goes together the morning of the event.
Make your logo pop.

Having great signage is important so people don’t pass by your booth. Have your name at eye level and print a cardboard cutout of your mascot if you have one.
Have the best business card.

Hold a raffle.
Make the prize something valuable, like whatever the latest and coolest tech gadget is. Collect business cards and email everyone after the event. If they didn’t win, provide an offer or something else of value to them.
Give out useful swag.
If you’re going to give out swag, make it something memorable. Let’s be honest, no one really wants to wear a t-shirt with your giant logo across the front of it. Give out something that’s relevant to the event you’re at or the city you’re in and people will appreciate it a lot more!
