Marc Petitpas, our Vice President of Marketing, was recently a featured guest on the Small Business Big Ideas radio show. Here’s some of what he had to say on how you can strengthen your marketing endeavours:

Focus on the customer experience.

As your business grows, find creative ways to communicate to your market. Be prepared to differentiate yourself, know who you want to talk to, and start small. If you see positive results, grow the program.

Marketing is about how you mix your mediums.

The best way to reach your marketplace is to use as many channels as possible. Print is great for catching attention, particularly if it’s creative. To make your campaigns even stronger, mix in digital components such as email, social media, QR codes, and video.

Make authentic connections.

Referrals are the fastest way to grow your business. It’s easier for people to trust other people, not brands, which is why it’s important to humanize your brand. And don’t forget, your customers can tell your story the best.

Print won’t get caught in a junk mail folder.

There are advantages to both email and print. With internet spam laws becoming stricter, sending emails to your customers can prove to be difficult… so print is making a comeback!
