Fan Appreciation Day with the Mississauga Steelheads

The Printing House has been a proud partner of the Mississauga Steelheads over the past two years. As part of this partnership, we’ve sponsored a game annually as a way to give back to Steelheads fans! This year’s Fan Appreciation Day (sponsored by The Printing House) took place on Sunday, March 18th at the Steelheads vs. Frontenacs game. To celebrate, we handed out over 450 tickets to the game, and printed some unique signage and Steelheads themed pieces:

2500 fans were handed to attendees as they walked through the arena’s entrance to help show their support for their favourite team. The fans were printed with the Steelhead’s recognizable logo and custom cut before they were mounted to wooden sticks with a strong double-sided tape. The end result was an eye-catching souvenir to build team spirit and rally fans together during the game.

We were also excited to host a fun second period intermission contest on the ice, giving participants a chance to win up to $600 in Canadian Tire gift cards! To win, our selected competitors had to shoot the puck past our life-size printed goalie, which sat in front of the net. The goalie was made from a sturdy 10 mil PVC board that was printed in full colour and custom cut.

To mark where our players had to shoot from on the ice, three fabric banner stands were printed featuring the TPH logo. These were also used at our booth during the first period intermission, where fans could spin our prize wheel! A large 120” x 120” vinyl piece that could easily be seen from all around the arena was also printed for the ice.

Thank you to everyone who came out to the game! We loved meeting you and had a blast hosting our shoot out contest.
