What do you love most about Pickering?

The balance between the city and its green spaces. Pickering is right off of Lake Ontario and through city conservation efforts there are an abundance of trails and parks running along the coastline as well as wooded hiking trails and beaches. The city is also home to a variety of businesses and restaurants and attractions.

If I had one day in Pickering, what should I see and do?

There are lots of things to see and do while you’re visiting. Start by grabbing a bite down by water – there are a number of restaurants on Liverpool south of Bayly with a great view – you can even get takeout and eat on the beach. After that you could go shopping at Pickering Town Centre; go to town hall and go bouldering or axe throwing at BATL axe grounds. You can’t leave without taking a walk along waterfront trail or Seaton Hiking trail at Grand Valley Park – it’s truly an escape to the outdoors without having to leave the city.

How does Canada inspire you?

Canada inspires us through our diversity and compassion. Canada is always on the forefront of promoting inclusiveness and highlighting our multicultural communities. Our differences are what bring us together as a nation.

How does working for a Canadian company inspire you?

Working for a Canadian company, particularly The Printing House inspires us because we know we are supporting our community’s needs both locally and nationwide. It’s also a great feeling to know that the company we work for gives back to Canadians in need through our many charitable initiatives.
